Pain

Experiencing bouts of it
Uncomfortable
It makes me sigh
Almost every part of me
Is painful
I do cry
Alone of course
When lying down
Tears,wet salty tears
The government aren’t helping
Ballooning massive fears

Desolation everywhere
Warring vast abroad
Women and children dying
A price why we afford
Their innocence
Under the rubble
Bleeding quietly they
Suffer we are all suffering
Some now everyday

Infected by persuasion
Threatening attitude
The suffering is growing
In essence now imbued
With upset and a misery
Growing night and day
Waiting queuing suffering
The dictum of dismay

Suffering the violent aching
Tingling toes and fingers too
Our joints are really creaking
We have lost the gentle glue
Darkness falls on many
Grief too comes to call
Suffering resembles
Need and many fall

Into a confusion
Silently alone
Inflammation rockets
It grabs at our bone
Suffering considerably
The need to take and drink
Opioids and other stuff
That bends the mind I think

Long waiting lists
And rigour
It’s a path of pain
It rolls into our psyche
Endeavouring to gain
A foothold in our being
To brutally scour and be
Weakening our true resolve
The evil cometh, we

Suffer in our silence
A weakening heart and mind
Our fingers and toes are throbbing
As the springs inside unwind
Sleep is periodic nightmares gallop on
Through us in the darkly hours
Until we venture on
