A whale of a time
In a prison
Locked up and left to ones thoughts
An elderly man
With many a fan
Who may soon appear in the courts
Denmark is trying our patience
Whales do apparently bleed
Their hearts are as powerful
As any around
Their presence is needed
I try to expound
All logical questioning
And to require
A cooling draught
To what is a fire
Burning in Japan
That wants to create
A new way of life
For our Captain
A date
A place in a cell
Dark and cold
An old man
With fire in his belly
A honourable ban
His soul rides the waves
With the orca’s who ply
The whales rule the oceans
But too many die
Explosive harpoons
Sick detonation
Deep avid screams
From the great beasts in motion
Japan sends its industry
Into the ocean
Searching the dark depths
It is their notion
Whales need to die
Great beasts they be
With the keenest of eye
Our captain sailed forth
Protection was his
Wish and his spirit
Yes Mostly is
To protect and to save
These denizen hordes
From the Japanese fishermen
And their sharp swords
Industrial factories
Out in the sea
Murdering wild life
As a constancy
We must save the whales
Great beasts of below
They hold many benefits
At night they glow
With a spirited love
For our planetary worth
Giving back soul
Each sacred birth
Giants they be
Genius mammals
From deep in the sea
We must fight for our Captain
Who fights for the whale
Who sees eye to eye
Whose spirited trail
Is to safeguard wild creatures
Wherever they be
And to appeal to good hearts
Who in essence agree
