Mushrooms even the organically grown ones

We all know don’t we mushrooms
Are said to tonify
They grind them
into powders
We drink them
We feel high
On all those lovely funghi
But what we have to know
Is they are using still on peat
On this carbon store they grow

Us gardeners buy bags of compost
And try to not by Peat
Aware we are, aware of it
In the lovely foods we eat
Leave the peat in Bogs we say
It’s the hidden Peat campaign
Pick the Oyster and shiitake
Kind of use your brain

Those two types have no peat
They are grown on wood
best dried and made a bit more Yang
Then they would be extra good
The National Trust lets hunters hunt
On land to catch some foxes
But now won’t sell peat laden funghi
In those pretty boxes
