We are a lamentable destruction

Our inability to feel
The others whose lives
Are as real
Consequently as we age
Grasping straws page after page
Realising that actually
We have lost the plot
And cannot see
Or hear or feel that animals too
Love each other
As some of us do
They are family and they need
Love and caring to succeed
Killing them is utter grief
Compared to the hunters
There is no relief
From the departure and a heart that’s true
Let them pass naturally that’s my view
