Jinan ‘s rusty cages

Over 100 cats were saved
From Jinan in Shandong
A group had trapped wild Sparrows
Which the Chinese think is wrong
There are few laws on cats and dogs
But sparrows are protected
And using them to attract street cats into Cages
when inspected
Animals groups were very concerned
About the cats it seems
And called the police
Seeking release
Looking for Protection schemes
China’s Animal Rights groups
Are out there looking hard
Welfare is their chosen group
Where the police are now on guard

140 cats were saved
streets cats and pet cats too
All of them were saved it seems
Doing what they do
