For years I have been writing
About the Dear Black Bears
Canada gifted these beautiful souls
Their arrogance it scares
The life out of me actually
Hibernating they
Are often shot with bows and arrows
Ambushed so to say
Cubs can be with Mothers
And then at risk alas
The government knows only too well
Killing bears en mass
Is causing threats to families
So that our guards can be
Given heavy busbies
Which are sensationally
Cruel and cause such agony
For little bears who must
Take on life without their mothers
Yes and my disgust
At why our Royal Guards need true fur
Faux fur surely now
Should be substituted
Ethically it’s how
We safeguard the wild animals
Murdering them to make
Headgear is
so wasteful
Here is only take take take
No give, no thought, no caring
Boisterous infamy
The government could get some love and care
And try to see
It’s cruel beyond the sanctity
Of wildness anyway
Whatever the King thinks
Actually I don’t give a damn
He should pay
More attention to
the wild souls
And less attention to
Killing for the sake of it
Whatever else they do
To kill a bear for the purpose of head gear for the Kings Guards is preposterous and beyond Cruel Peta have offered a substitute faux fur cap just as weather proof and identical in style which has been flatly refused., making no sense at all.Rex Tyler’s poem highlights all relevant information , a very significant piece of work.
Thank you Rachelle how kind of you to stop by and read my poem on killing black bears by bow and arrow for the Kings Royal Guards often including the baby bears whose mother they kill
