The slaughterhouse experience

Assumption and misunderstandings
With husbandry does seemingly
Create in a mind of confusion
And profitability
Handling animals caring and sharing
The realisation that they
Ought to be given a real time approach
And Treated well every day

Kept in a cage for example
Or inside a gestation crate
A battery crammed in with others
Surely a perilous fate’s
Contamination with pathogens
The voiceless are sensitively
Living in what is a vacuum
Imperfectness and true squalor
Bathed in infectivity

Slaughtering houses
And butchering lines
Unfavourable handling
Worrying signs
Restraint causing fear
Broken hearted let’s say
Botheration and hassle
In an odious way

Blubbering whimpering
Bewailing away
Unsightly and hideous
death come what may
Intimidation panic and more
The cries of the dying
Are akin to a war
