Cows

Of course they are here
Surviving reliving
Trying to be strong
But constantly giving
Bovine nutrition
A remission that holds
Sway the life givers
We steal every day

Our mothers milk
It’s our need not yours
A beguiling elixer
With so much applause
Stolen by you
By your dairies of sin
For your kefir and yoghurt
Condensed in a tin

You make us weaker
Stealing it all
Bovine nutrition
You break every rule
For your dairy ice cream
For your butter and cheese
Laced in refined salt
That does weaken your knees.
