Oiling the cogs

Friends Meeting House
In Down town Berkhamsted
Laid back in the High Street
Grassed and a tomb stone or two
It’s here where the protestors
Will be getting instructions
How to block roads
How to frustrate and fail
The beaten up motorists
Paying a high price
Taxed to the hilt
Where ever they go
And to contend with
The slow moving wasters
Gullibly green
And wanting to slow
The cars even more
Slow walking antagonists
Blocking the streets
And making their case
Against what they see
As a threat to our souls
Soft option controls
Stop oil a cautionary meet up
We hear
In the town where I live
Berkhamsted
