Nillumbik

It’s very clear to realise
The government are wrong
Kangaroo’s are part of
The wild places
They belong
part of the very fabric
Of what is our precious land
And announcing a killing programme
Of this size we don’t understand
65000 to be gunned down
Why
The meat trade might
Be up to earning money
But it us never right
We need wild life around the place
Animality
Is positive it’s beautiful
But we need transparency

Ambushing wild families
Murdering the young
These souls are part of the living
We all can live among
Wildness retaining balance
It really is a need
And killing off the iconic ones
Where’s it going to lead

Down a rocky incline
Dead bodies strewn about
The meat trade flogging pet food
I am in no doubt
The people love the Kangaroo’s
They forever have their place
And murdering so many
Is a bloody disgrace

Uncalled for by the locals
It’s business wanting blood
The insensitive the arrogant
A mindless gutless flood
Of shooters killing females
Murdering joeys every one
Valuable and present when the day is done

Stop the carnage

Stop it once and for all
