Panchita

Panchita a Galapagos Sea Lion
Got caught up in netting and she
It cut into her body
Stressing her out so badly
She just couldn’t return to the sea
She was helped by some warrior people
Who looked after her every day
How much she surely had suffered
And truthfully then had to pay
Such suffering it left her ailing
But their caring of her it was good
They gave her a chair there to rest on
After three months of caring she could
And now she’s got better completely
Loved by the carers she said
Everyday I shall go back to the sea
And come back here at night to my bed
They let her share a nice rest chair
A gift and herb psyche and she
Always slept well dreaming in peace
A solitary sea lion who cared
Now every night with her wisdom she comes
Back where she knows she is safe with her chums
And in the morning when daylight arrives
Goes back to the sea which is how she survives..
