A dictum a soul cannot follow

How true is othat dictum
When spoken
So many seemingly take up the fight
It sounds good to exhibit the mantle
Because you feel good in the light
But tastebuds apparently matter
And role play and the Meat a trade
Come first
A prisoner really of tasteful discretion
On balance nothing could be worse
