Dunnocks

Hedge sparrows sometimes called
But Dunnock’s seemingly
More correct for these little souls
Provide some jollity
Very shy they love dense foliage
Bushes dense with brush
Ivy Holly pyracantha always in rush
Twittering these little birds
Find sanctum in the midst
Spend most of their time there
Somehow they resist the chance
To fly away from this environment
For they
Love the close containment
Where in the mornings they do play
A bit like robins size wise
Brown that love to be
Hopping through the tangled green
Their home extraordinary
Chattering together
A joyful melody
Dunnocks or hedge sparrows
