We know what makes an elephant
perform the circus tricks
Phajaan break in the babies
knocking them for six
Bull hooks around the ear oles
And in their arthritic thighs
Driving them to give up living
That’s about the size
Leaving them as solitary
Insincerity
Shabby villainous worthlessness
And extra spivery
Circus criminality
Infidelity
Forgetting to feed them regularly
All pure improbity
