Ethical and principled
Ingenuous was He
Christopher Day
A homeopathic’s man and Veterinary
The Dean of homeopathy
How animals respond
A tutelage by directions
With the sick he had a bond
Vibrational decisions
He held in second sight
Prophetic and so close to them
Contemplation’s right
A sage the truest luminary
He scholastically could fly
His knowledge was extensive
Which of course he did apply
Enlightened by the masters
Hanneman the man
Each glimmering each approval.
He a lifetime fan.
Of the Church of the Holy Rood
In Sparsholt the thanksgiving
For his life was held and we
The many gave our true respects
For his bold history
With its lovely wooden steeple
And it’s medieval brass
In the vale of the white horse
Where lush green meadows pass
Golden rows of Buttercups
Leaning in the sun with pride
Daisies tiny twinkling stars
Not to be denied
The church clothed in attentiveness
It’s gardens lush with greenery
An old yew sprawling outwards
Attentiveness and thoughtfully
The souls of animals past and present
Affiliations guard
The kinship all the passing
His genius it starred
A smorgasbord of plant forms
And multifarious energy
The rhythmic the persistent
The levelness and synergy.
