Dandelions

Big on the roadsides and parks
In orchards they are everywhere
Yes they leave their marks
Around the countryside in April
Breaking up the soil
Adding lots of calcium
Do we respect their toil

Bee’s and Butterflies prosper
From the sunlight and the gold
People call them piss the beds
Apparently if you hold
or eat
The glorious sunny flowers
The bladder will soon feel
Cleansed and in its bitterness
It strengthens you for real.

Don’t dig up all the wisdom
The beauty that we see
Add the flowers to salad
And the leaves to tea
The roots make a cleansing coffee
This valuable refrain
Leave it where the goddess planted it
It’s part of the heavenly chain
