I ask you to imagine
What goes on in a child’s mind
They are eating but unknowingly
Genetic foods are lined
Up against them, poorer children
Probably will see
More of it it’s dreadful
In a word a tragedy
America land of the free
Purports to understand
Allowing as it does
To spread confusion
Through the land
That swells into a meaningful
Desire to now suggest
A random firing of an alien gene
Is yes. The best
But do we tell the children
We all are children here
Short trousers tousled hair
And our innocence is clear
Let’s the Corporations
Ride roughshod over all
I beg you. As a child alone
To listen when I call
Out to you just listen
I realise how low
We have sunk the bog it’s ancient
But now of course I know
I beg you please imagine
The tears that fill each soul
I need you to all concentrate
Your mind and fo control
Your thoughts for they are tragic
That free young souls can be
Tortured in a masked attempt
At telling them they are free
I hope that you imagine
The poignant thought I find
Swelling in my bosom
To open in my mind
A chasm of confusion
A tragedy I say
A genuine reluctance
To approach the FDA
And ask them to remember
In history we find
Sustainable attainable
Reflections intertwined
Against the meek and the innocent
That we have never dared
To replace life with arrogance
And at least with this we shared
The spirit to continue
That will never be compared
Mincing up the cockroaches
The crickets and the bugs
Plant based shitty beef like steaks
Tragically it tugs
Emotional defences
Our senses maybe too
Genetic modification
One day will be you
