Dedication

The ultimate respect
Is earned by Nurses
Some of course are better than others
But they
do an uncompromising stint of
Personal caring
With sick and dying patients
Every moment they are sharing
A countenance that’s peaceful
A service to the soul
The work they do has value
And with it they control
Illness gratification of the
Principle
And we
Sick and infirm treated by them
Know the place to be

Their training is remarkable
Hours spent everyday
Coupled with the experience
Why would we then delay
A living wage to servants
To angels for they are
Come and observe their efforts
In hospital they star

Nothing is too much trouble
Hardly a chance to sit
All the fine reports they make
And still retain some wit
Diplomats all able to reduce
Tensions they
Are proper little guru’s
It’s our loss if we don’t pay.
