Gliding

At the foot of the Dunstable Downs
Where the sky
is remarkably vast and blue to the eye
Luca took flight
Sailing silently he
Shared the sights and the sounds
Gliding, a plea
To our feathered friends
Tasking and basking
In light
Joining their spirit
And making his flight
Purposeful beautiful
Swallowing air
Eyes were all seeing
Heart too aware
A great panorama
Displayed below
Riding and gliding
Being in the flow
Feeling the freedom
The sight and the sound
And the utter excitement of leaving the ground.
