Like a subterranean cavity
The Pattison canyon where
A family of true reptiles live
A paradise all share
With Rosie the dog
A feline crew
Tina and Jonathan
And A DAf truck keen eyed driver
Who

Loved the glorious family
Morgan’a iguana green
An arborial herbivorous lizard
A one time Arthurian Queen
Hazel and Smaug we hear
Both are bearded dragons
From Australia ‘‘twas clear

One named after a beautiful tree
The other from Tolkien, he
Came out of the mountain
In the hobbit one and all
Both are omnivores both eclectic
From a mountain both did crawl

Onto an, eyed Lizard
aurora colours bright
Who came from the semi desert
Where lacertids invite
Onto a leopard Gecko
Mya from rocky ground
Afghanistan and pakistan
I million years so found

Sikana a Western hog nose Snake
Flat necking when in fear
Something like a Cobra
Quite docile but I hear
Then Bugsy the Blue tongued Skink
A mobster from Australia
He came
Also docile with a painful bite
So people claim

nutmeg and Saffron invite
From Southern New Caledonia
Rediscovered in 94
Also called the eyelash Gecko’s
Neither would we ignore
Gimly an Axolotti a Salamander who
From Middle Earth a warrior dwarf
A race of dwerves that’s who

Understood completely
And loved for all their worth
Both herpetology masters
The finest on God’s Earth.

Are loved by both these human friends
Who know what to do
How to feed them how to care
A wonderful family
Magical in so many ways
Such affability.
