Exultation
Whose the winner
True salvation
saved from having their necks
pulled tight
kicking their legs into the night
instead of them
they enjoy a meal
laid out for them
and truly real
feathers puffed
beaks a glow
stomachs filled
despite the snow
all sorts of goodies
for them to try
alive and joyful
said with a sigh
of relief for them
