The mountain Witches

Appalachians

the mountain people

a mix of the Aboriginie

Scots-Irish: German

Indigenous Blacks

Sub Saharan  Ancestry

a hard life purely physical

,an awful lot of poverty

Patriarchy ruling hard

Company owned towns

where

women brought a healing

a magical affair

herbs and potions

misogyny took hold me thinks

suppose

female sexuality

sorcery belief

in magic strength in numbers

witchcraft spells and grief.

casting spells

for spite and malice

women nursing healing ways

appreciation and understanding

intuitive and vibrant soul

exuberant and ardent feelings

enchanting excitability

a lot of suffering

a lot of heartache

wretchedness and misery

villainy and spivvery

bribable and mercenary

Witchcraft and the need to try

That pagan spirit

and impiety

and godless doubting

witchery.
