stonehenge and its needs

a road to extend pollution

or an epitaph to an age

A monumental decision

that  leaves some in a rage

of torment and confusion

that  a Minister today

would risk  the ire of the ancients

In an arrogant display

tear down the great stone temple

Tunnel and cremate

risk the absolute rancour

and go against the fate

of ancestors and memory

of resolate desire

the  chivalry and heroics

the mettle and the mire

vehicular confusion

true intimidation

a minister might go against

an addiction of creation

antiquities uneasiness

now angst and technofear

Grant Schapps

he needs some daring

let his dignity

hold dear
