Irukandji

up there in the North

in nice warm water

lives a  creature

thats very very small

its partial   to  the human

those swimming in its vicinity

a wrecker and a  defacer

who can be

waiting  in the silence

of the moment

bated breath

and toxins up its sleeve

a tyrant and a barbarian

after half an hour

there  is nothing on gods

earth that can relieve

swimming in those waters

is a huge risk

there are no antidotes

just dreadful pain

your body is on fire

survival is now dire

once stung you

will not ever swim again.

many misdiagnosed  victims

drownings and heart attacks

watching victims dying

no one can relax

a syndrome  for the  masses

the agony can be

worse than any other

in all humanity
