Simba the terribly tortured Lion Cub

confinement and subterfuge

purdah and pain

a lion cub was stolen

by the rotten  insane

photographers

wanting to injure and maim

a lion cub these bastards

for them just a game

underhand dealers

heartless and wrong

lowest of the low

they didnt belong

anywhere  near

they had broken the  hind legs

Of an innocent  soul

beat him they tortured

him  applying control

of the most gruesome nature

So much  mendacity

Ugly and vile

in pursuit of money

in utter denial

iniquitous evil

they had sunk to a low

criminal state

sinful, we know

after a fortune

from tourists their game

breaking a cubs legs

And feeling no shame

A creature so perfect

they bludgeoned and beat

using all of their  spitefulness

tried to defeat

a beautiful baby

they mangled and spoiled

such horrendous insanity

heart wrenching cuelty

oh yes they soiled

his spirit, they goaded him

causing him too

sink in their mire

and all this was true

i hear he was  rescued

and in Tanzania

lives in a sanctuary

walking again

he will have memories

scars everywhere

on his own will recall

the  truest despair

but hopefully

will find some solace where he

can live out his life

much more progressively

breathing the sunlight

with a guarantee

of wildness  and love

for his eternity.
