Stonehenge revisited

scant responsibility for Stonehenge

what is infact a magical event

the dishonour and disfavour

to detract it does cement

in my heart such a clamour

the 303 and the traffic

we trust and afford its majesty

insulting and outrageous

to tunnel through this ground

the sacredness is obvious

each disdainful sound

just undervaluing all we see

those stones up on the hill

to denigrate this wonder

stood alone and still

marginalized and set aside

humiliated so

this Neolithic so terrific

monument does show

great candour

and involvement

such adoration flies

in the face of squalor

and reverential sighs

we dare not neglect to prosper

our duty  is to be

faithful to the structure

To its truest memory

its conscience everlasting

i am duty bound to say

leave Stonehenge well alone

its answerable to god

Not to landowners, farmers,  traffic,  goverments,

it standeth in the sod

and must remain  there for evermore
