A cat and a dog sleeping on the streets

street wise pals

the cat the dog

a roadside infantry

in amongst the human clutter

is no real place to be

unnoticed by the passers by

two friends lost, although

together feeling confidence

indifferent to the flow

unconcerned of dangers

Togetherness  arrives

exhausted just by living

and helping which survives

all elements of worry

displeasure

being here

openly sleeping

rough some say

two hearts

though sincere

with a plethora of secrets

cat and dog at peace

both retaining wonder

in their moment of release.
