The Rabbit is in whose headlights?

Who was it
Who caught dolphins
And killed and cut away
And filled their bodies
Up with bricks
And sent them on their way
Was it a dolphin lover
A carer
Or someone
Who wanted to hide
Nis misdeeds
When the day was done

it is an allegation
It happened and some of us know
Who it was
Could we do that
I would’t want to go
Down that road to hell
For there just really is no way back
Calling yourself a saintly soul
For me something you lack

Captivity is wrong on all counts
Let me say
The lockdown that we see
The global crap thats happening
Despite our probity
We actually have no shackles
We actually have no locks
The ocean we can hear
But you build walls around us
And fail to see each tear

That runs on down our faces
We could leap away
But you said that you loved us
Your five star trips they pay
For you to visit freedom
And be thrown out of TAiji
The Japanese dont want you there
Why go there actually

You cannot save us dolphins
You killed us once so why
Should anybody trust you
Your being, is it high
You have a tranche of followers
But do they know your game
The in fighting the abusiveness
It isn’t all you claim

Sugar Loaf is bankrupt
And still we have Taiji
All the money and all the trips
Incriminations be
Rampant in the ether
On twitter tweet storms rage
And still the banging boats go out
And we read page after page

We are still outside the embassies
Giving them all some grief
Old and young all still among
Those that feign belief
Despite fraternal feelings
And tolerance we see
That Sea Worlds making money
From China’s misanthropy

The chlorine’s getting stronger
Our skin begins to peel
It gets into our sensitive eyes
The pain is very real
Made to leap through sodding hoops
And live Mostly on ice
Dosed up with your prozac
And perhaps a throw of dice.
