I left her world
Just yesterday
Exhausted
And had planned
To leave my friend
And journey back
To an ancient land
Ancestrally the Aegean
And the Marmara seas
Were where my name
Had come from
Where that lovely
scented breeze
Filled my tired
old nostrils
With That nosegay of delight
So many dreams and visions
Of this place
I saw each night
She had been my companion
On the glades and fields of green
The sweetest of the goddess grass
Its lusciousness serene
Apple trees so glorious
Each colourful display
I just loved that perfect aura
And her kindly way
The melodious the twinkling
The music of the wood
The light it wafted everywhere
Really I wish I could
Fly Up into the heavens
Like Pegasus for he
Also came from Greece
A land of my True ancestry
For my dear friend
