Fossil fuels

Barclays lets itself down
By propping up those who
Send contaminants into the atmosphere
Funders sadly who
Support the Coal and Tar Sands
And the Frackers too
And millions of gallons
Of potable water
What a biased view

It gives huge loans to
Fossil fuel
Despite its net zero plea
Of course with little detail
It’s hopeless as we see
GREENPEACE know’s how hopeless
And Of course know it’s wrong
But the fight against these giants
It keeps banging its gong

85 billion dollars
From 2016 to 18
Our protests have to carry on
For these industries are obscene
The planet is in crisis
Weather systems wise
And it’s the filthy dirty fossil fuel
That Is guilty I surmise
