Little black puppy

Called to a puppy
Clearly in distress
Emaciated
And hopping with stress
Covered in mange
Frightened as hell
When we tried to rescue
just ran and fell
And all the time whimpering
Frightened was he
abandoned by some
Rotter evidently

We eventually managed
To get him to come
With treats in our cage
To the vet where
Yes some
Examination
Shampoo for mange
And fed with fresh food
It seemed
for an age

It took about two months
For the mange to clear
For the anxiety
And good health to appear
Now his health and happy
And we
Are hopeful for a forever home now
Urgently
