Trigger happy

Their fingers on the trigger
unconscientiousness it felt
Great dollops of injustice
And shamefulness were dealt
With villainy and
A baseless
Like the running of the hare
People we could see them
All breathing the same air
Taken out and clinically
Reduced to dust as we
Our eyes our hearts our emotions
Soul urges we could see
and Assange brought it to bear
And we all saw it on that day
We shared that ugly demonstration
It pierced us the dismay
Of seeing it in our faces
The Drama and a score
So far beyond our reckoning
Into what was a war
Of treachery and betrayal
Following them until
Every one was taken out
And all their blood did spill
and for that ASSANGE was threatened
Was criminalised and left
Marginalised and with a charge
Indicted and bereft
Without a counter argument
Locked up and left for dead
Bad mouthed and disparaged
And with everything else they said
Locked up in a solitary cell
The rigours and the wise
disparaged and deflated
Without compromise
Defamed denounced a hatchet job
And he a sensitive soul
Entitled to some real respect
Not cast into a hole
Like some lowly animal
A voiceless utterance who
Should be whipped of ethic
And left to wallow through
The muddy wretched water
To dirty his regard
To wilfully obstruct him
And make his breathing hard
