Deena

Don’t pain yourself
By how you feel
My darling sister I can reveal
A humbleness a tranquility
That feels like it’s washing over me.
A journey beckons, and so I
Have integrity, and I can fly
Unsullied dear by those who say
Apparently today’s the day

Crying for me will never do
For My way ahead is light and true
The sun feels warm above my head
And I have no pain and so instead
Just wonderful memories of you and of our dear mother
Who I am going to
The path is lit it’s safe and sure
She is is in her garden more and more
Among the flowers she sits sometimes
And reads from her little book of rhymes
So I am going home where it’s safe where she
And I Deena will always be.
