Australia had better wake up
To what we all see
Live exports being sent abroad
Into adversity
Neglected on the voyage not fed or watered
Properly
And when they reach the destination
Many as we see
Are injured or malnourished
Farmers don’t seem to care
They ship live souls like cargo
And the government must share
The blame for they are evidently
Neglecting welfare too
And Bridget MCKenzie had best look out
For this isn’t what you do

It’s absolutely wicked sinful really too
Iniquitous behaviour
And what are you going to do
It’s bringing the country down
For world wide, countries know the score
So very much wrong-doing
Worse than it was before
and this despite your innocence
It’s criminality
It’s frighteningly obvious
that it is cruelty

Beyond the pale beyond emotion
Complicit every one
The government sits on its hands
And so many lies are spun
These animals are suffering
On the voyage some of them die
And are thrown into the ocean
And the question yes is why

Indonesia the cattle
That turned up there we hear
Images of emaciation
Starving yes it’s clear
There has to be much stronger welfare laws in place
For they
Are causing people around the world to
Ask why the delay

Why the apparent nonchalance
Whilst cattle seemingly
Are suffering in agony
Really this must not be
You have to pull your fingers out
And create duty of care
Or stop the bloody exports
Because it’s far from fair

As for the farmers well they got their money
And wipe their hands that really is not good
No respect for the livestock
They are guilty too
Everybody should do more and they should
Just imagine those poor cows
Suffering on the sea
Rocked about and starving
And bruised too we must be

Open, realising that cattle
Need the care
There should be good inspectors
On the voyage to share

And improvements rapidly
