The poor cows

It’s the lack of respect
And the improbity
The shabby abjectness
Which to me appears key
Cows serve the farmer
In so many ways
And are tortured and stressed out
Most of the days
Suffering villainy
Faithless are they
The carers so called
Really get in the way
Of love and affection
And integrity
As so many hardships
buildup naturally

Cruelty it is a part of each day
Tagging the ears it hurts
People say
Cows don’t have feelings
We can brand them and see
The hot irons burn into them
And gracefully
They struggle a bit as the flesh
Starts to burn
But really and honestly
There’s no concern

As for anaesthetics
We cannot abide
It just adds to costs
And we should be relied
On to know how to
Make farming today
Cows have no feelings
They are cows so no way

Are we going to let all this
Cost us or we
Will go out of business
A fact you can’t see
We farmers our methods
Keep end prices low
If we have to start caring
Where will prices go
