Vast areas of Planet Earth
The Serengeti draws it’s worth
Serious Skyscape overhead
An immensity so someone said
Wide-ranging far flung
Boundless blue
Straddling heaven there’s a clue
Existence resides just everywhere
Ubiquitous and so aware
Migrants and denizens rock this world
A meeting place where some lay curled
Others waiting for river crossings
A true adventure hooves and tossings
Of Wildebeest and Zebra’s who
Want their fresh pasture of course they do
The ultimate the farthest gaze
A blue horizon now bound to raise
Forms and contours moulded thrown
Harmonious to see the flown
Undeflected on the beam
An undulation a whirlwind scream
A dell a dingle a huge ravine
Sharp and thorny to have seen
A splendid skyscape’s fitting end
Such vitality bound to send
Hordes of animals armies all
A raucous cacophonous
Laughing call
unmelodious possibly
A toneless tuneless
Symphony
of bird life
That we can agree
Bring the colours into play
The livery now of the day
unpigmented nervous too
A washed out sallow
Thing to do
Blue and green and verdancy
An iridescence all can see
A sideways look an autopsy
A Harlequin prismatically
Embroidered worked greengage it be
A cerebration that leaps and falls
Really as speculation calls
Dimensions every which way sent
In the motherland we have spent
Hours of dancing study too
Writing odes and most not true
That in the haunt where long ago
Home sweet home we loved it so
A massiveness of folded blue
A hillock slope and out of view
