Claude Monet

A painter who encapsulated Spring’s vitality
Light demands so much respect
And shadows too, as we
Search through Nature’s wonderland
Bold colours do evolve
A semblance, a suggestion that
Our eyes and minds may solve

His water lillies
Grew upon our psyche’s, maybe so
If we would care to wander there
To see them and to know
Such moments in their company
Possibly to dare
To listen to the Mother of all Spring’s
And be aware

To stroke our beard and ponder
On the magick it does bring
Just How soulful and how beautiful
Even the wild birds sing
Caroling their melodies
Brokering such praise
Monet with his genius
Engendered halcyon days
