Otorongo or the Jaguar

Habitat reduction is the cause
We are seeing now
Wild animals and the indigenous
Its hard to know now how
These problems can be dealt
With
For clearly what we see
Are the wild ones being
Slaughtered with much intensity

The tiger being farmed in China
But out in the wilds we see
So few left it is frightening
As hunted and trapped they be
Are the Jaguars the new tiger?
A question to be asked
Lion bones substituted
For tiger they were tasked
To farm them out in Africa
And petting farms we see
Trophy hunting
Canned hunting
Its happening constantly

The Jaguar of the America’s
Already what we see
Is skins and teeth and paws
And organs
Sold now actually
Its called the otorongo
And like so many they
Are in conflict with the ranchers
And the farmers
More each day

These are marvellous creatures
With a really hefty bite
They take out caimans and crocodiles
Solitary souls the light
Is clearly on their being
For black market sales are high
Although the trade is banned abroad
Many jaguars die

TCM and wild animal parts
Is an industry thats growing
Elephants rhino’s pangolins
TIgers sharks its not slowing
Its happening and everywhere
Sales are at an all time high
Bush meat sales are increasing too
And why so many die.

Its just a fact of death it seems
Its really everywhere
Populations spilling over
Into land to share
Wild animals taking domestic animals
And therefore war ensues
And the carnivores are suffering
Its really awful news

I dont know what the answer is
Maybe we should try
and eat less meat
And wear less leather
And wear less fur
why?
Methane and the constant
Habitat encroachment would be less
So more areas for the wild souls
And hopefully less stress
