Wild Salmon and the terrible farmed salmon

Writing about farmed fish
As a vegan
Is hard to do because farmers
Do not think
Beyond their balance sheets
Thats where the pressure lies
The bankers and the other financial elites

The environment it doesnt get a look in
The live stock for them its just hell on earth
The law surrounding fish farms is inadequate
And the public apparently dont see the worth
Of buying fresh and wild rather than farmed fish
And They dont see eye to eye with vegan fayre
They want red salmon tv chefs are flogging it
But in a nutshell no one is aware

Costs are going through the roof like crazy
Cutting costs is what its all about
Inevitably the short cuts lead to trouble
And I am sure this crisis is without a doubt
Something to do with really that scenario
Arrogance and ignorance in tow
Letting the blood water a vile effluent
Discharge into what is the natural flow

The migratory salmon wild and wonderful
Pick up the filthy water in their way
Piscine reovirus and other filthy components
They therefore come into contact with each day
And because its under the surface no one sees it
And so they get away with dumping there
Into the environment with laws that are not complied with
And so we see and feel widespread despair

I dont know what the answer is these farms seem set
On killing
More fish than is sensible and the public seemingly
Carry on at eating them ofcouse in larger quantities
Everyone is at it thats how it looks to me
Knowing about processing the foods now on our table
A vegan diet sets you up and safeguards problems but
So many want their meat and flesh and more and more and more of it
And they will pay the price deep in their gut

Throwing your hands into the air and screaming
Will not help the situation we
Cannot do the work thats done by nature
Ego’s to the fore alas they be
Wild is what is best and thought and caring
Eating less and the realization that we
Cannot just exploit the earth and oceans
For that will mean the end of you and me

Vegans are in the fore front of saving the planet
From the ignorant and most definately the arrogant
