Sirius in Moni Cyprus

Who is really the brightest star
In the night sky
I think you are
Devoted to loving the forgotten stray
That is lost then found by you today

Such thankfulness is on their face
And appreciativeness of the human race
Gentle compassionate compared to some
Who abandoned us
And left us numb
They were heartless to let us go
Really with them we loved life so
But they were unfeeling callous and we
Were left alone remorselessly.

Our gratefulness they took no heed
We wept alone oh yes indeed
Each warm embrace just left alone
They never ever heard us moan
Fortunately we found that we
Got a place in The sanctuary
Sirius where angels be
Very close to the azure sea

150 of us were there
many in abject despair
But everyone was really good
They Loved us despite being misunderstood
They gave us back a life we had lost
In their mercy we felt tossed
It just felt right to be there
And with the others really share

The impartiality
we all felt equal
Just to see
And feel the love and all the care
Being out in the fresh air
Limassol a lovely place
Where we can live at our own pace
Even handed fair minded they
All give their love
Just every day

Goodwill their hearts of gold
We know
Such tenderness we feel that glow
Unselfish generosity
I love it here as you can see
When i am re homed i know that I
Will find a place
Under the sky

Amicable and understanding
It will be the place where I
Always remember with wonderment
Their hope and trust was always high
Reassurred my new mainstay
Full of promise in every way
Sirius the bright dog star
Yes friends that is where we are

Katerina Herzog she
Just one of the volunteers who be
Devoted to us like them all
Rejoicing with their every call
So euphoric just to be
In that glorious sanctuary
Yes i cried with happiness
But looking back I can only bless
All the angels working there
Who loved me and made me aware
