The Kangaroo genetically
Is programmed to create
An ongoing superiority
Increasing at a rate
Of knots
Raising expectancy
Of survival at its root
A peanut and another and a joey
There to loot

The limited resources that the
Mother can produce
In what is truly barren land
As you might now deduce

They are the true survivors
In an ancient land
So shooting them for carnivores
To eat is
To understand

The waste the discrimination
Of such an iconic soul
Proves to me the Meat trade
Is so out of control.
