Brock

Rumbling tumbling cows that go bumbling
Herds of them critters that dwell on the grass
The existence of Brocks indestructible flocks
Nocturnal beings in a different class
Well-grounded physical genuine ferals
Culled for no purpose but hearsay I fear
Pasture gets dirty the slurry thats spreading
Bacterial survival for months now is clear

Cull these old farmers leave the badgers alone
Fence off latrines raise the troughs let us see
More education and security
Badgers for the most part do stay away
From the rumbling tumbling cows of the day
Nose to nose contact is featureless crap
Its all about earth and survival old chap

Government ministers Amontillado
Supping the dryness with all their bravado
Believing the drivvle that farmers put out
When really there is considerable doubt
Contaminated pasture is what its about
Cattle to cattle too, up for a shout

The waste it is frightful the tories are spiteful
Most have a glass full and give them a nod
And more brocks are slaughtered
And then drawn and quartered
Only to find being near to their god

Makes not a difference the cows get the tb
Badgers are blamed but reality shows
The farmers who kill cattle they are the culprits
The more badgers killed the more tb grows

Carnivores and ruminants tend to avoid
Close contact clearly none overjoyed
With each others company so why would we think
That T B and badgers and cows have a link
Its the farmers the muck spreading shit arses who
Know nothing of science and less than I do
Yet they get the say so,and us badgers die
It is a Sett up a bloody great lie

john Clare wrote his poem all those years ago
When brocks were respected and were part of the flow
Pasture and dung is what creates the fear
Its bad farming practice for me that is clear
We must stop this killing of our feral boys
Our nocturnal angels whose prowess annoys
The shooters the gassers the ministry mob
The murdering scumbags just doing their job.
