Away from the logicality
A team of ardent folks who be
Boldly searching in the name
Of the Goddess Nemesis
Whose great flame
Exists for the arrogance before the gods
And murdering whales
From successive pods
Is violence on a contentious scale
Its ugly and nasty and must not prevail.
Grenade tipped harpoons cause woeful pain
Creating too the worlds disdain
The vile destruction of each great whale
For Japan feels its as if its their holy grail
The greatest friend that ever swam
The oceans wide will seemingly
Run with their blood and heart and soul
And suffer really demonstrably
Despite rulings from the IWC
Japan ignores them wilfuly
Plays no part in protection she
Murders them intentionally
NISSIN MARU their factory ship
Their slaughterhouse where they let
Rip
the hearts and minds of the many victims who
die in agony yes they do
Their so called pelargic whaling fleet
Hunting and securing prey
Drawn up to the flensing deck
And butchered in the vilest way
Any waste is tossed overboard
For Wyanda Lublink her reward
Is to catch and prevent them from
Killing whales
And creating their agonised blood loss trails
She has a team of valiant souls
Each of them care for within their roles
Each will fight for all they are worth
To protect the whales of Mother Earth
66 days of graft and more
In the cold conditions and most are sure
Getting up early and doing the rounds
Its a job for those who know all the sounds
The greatest songsters of the sea
Who sing for us all and who need to be
Close to us all and thats truthfully
With all the expression of wanting to be
Making that difference saving those souls
Fighting like hell to achieve all the goals
Faceless individuals testing themselves
Its day in and day out its when the heartache begin
Deep in ones marrow on icy cold days
When your hands and your feet
Ache but you must find ways
Of digging in getting it on
Fighting the swell looking for the ships
The giant from hell
8000 tons or so
Compared to you
a tenth of their size
But the fight is with you
In the oceans where darkness takes on
A new sphere
In the rough and the tumble
The currents some fear
Exacerbating the worries from home
But getting it on wherever you roam
SEa Shepherd the banner the pirates of old
You are the angels effective and bold
Out chasing shadows you survive because you are
Assisting the giants the peoples great star
One thrash of one tail brings fire to the fore
The peace and the harmony its what its all for
They are giants their size precludes thought in a way
And to hunt them with explosives to make them all pay
With their valuable lives so that some Japanese
Can squat on their arses With consummate ease
Talk of umami of zen and believe
They are close to their gods who they duly deceive
To all the crew members the world looks upon
You, you brave beings who go on and on
Though the storm clouds may generate
Frightening waves
Head busting winds
Knowing who saves
The great ocean travellers
Yes all of you
You put on your braves faces
As your fingers went blue
As you feet felt jack frost biting
your spirit wins though
You are glorious warriors
Giving back more
And the japanese
Whalers if asked I am sure
Would accept in their zen time
That a crew such as you
Can open your hearts
And all do what you do
Its for humanitarian progress
And so
For that sense of achievement
We really all know
Thankyou Wyanda Lublink
And your wonderful crew members
Every last one of them
On behalf of the whales
Who love you all dearly
Absolutely beautiful. It makes me feel even prouder knowing that there are people out there who support us a 100%,. Especially since you know it is not an easy task being down here in the Southern Ocean. My crew definitely give it their all to protect the whales, so thank you for supporting us by sending such a beautiful poem!
Wyanda Lublink
You are our heroes your are the true angels of the ocean
We love you more tthan you
can imagine
And we think about you when its quiet on those icy mornings
And on the warmer evenings the fact is you are with us in our thoughts
The whales are with you in your long journey big and small
