A short study

A blackbird just came to a tree
And there she sits in front of me
UNaware that I am here
In my study and very near
Its drab a sky of total grey
And not a lot of wind today
But a smattering of leaves still hang
On my Beech the songs we sang
The melodies of yester year
On fanlike branches do appear
As some ivy climbs towards the sky
As green as it can be on high
Looks down on the darkly eArth
Realising its true worth
