A homeless guy in Kentish Town

at Kentish Town in London
The other day I saw
A homeless man
Whose built his home
Outside a closed down store
At least 10 cardboard boxes
A mattress and assorted things
Cans of food bottles of drink
I suppose the public brings
All sorts of bits and pieces
And he collects some more
And builds on what he already has
And others just ignore

Would he have any squatters rights
In the doorway of the store
Apparently he is piling up
All sorts of stuff I am sure
He is taking over Kentish Town
Thats if you ask me
Can’t Camden Council help him
Or at least go and see

It Cannot be appropriate
We might soon have some snow
Really it must be terrible
With all ones life on show
He doesn’t have much cover
So surely that can’t be
Acceptable in this day and age
Its so very sad to see

People falling through the net
And camped out on the street
No fixed abode
Just that dusty road
And no shoes on his feet
And apparently not begging
Just sitting there all day
Keeping an eye on whatever he has
Just in case someone takes it away
