All the crowd were masked up
Only the coppers showed their face
Their flashy yellow jumpers
Yes they were on the case
Austerity and surveillance
Was what it was about
Anonymous had organised
The march without a doubt

Cover up your faces boys
Don’t let the blighters see
Who you are or what you are
What we have to be
Thinkers full of brainwaves
Foresight and the rest
Level headed judicious
Oracles at best

London Town and all of that
Expectations high
6000 or so masked people
With foreigners asking why
Erewhon and Utopia
Knight errands here and there
Fanciful inventiveness
Mixed up with some despair

You could feel the meaning
The substance and the drift
On this November afternoon
People got a lift
From watching all these human beings
Wearing the same face
A manifestation of something
And no one could they trace

Disguise is kind of magical
Like the underground
Furtive glances through slit eyes
Daylight did abound
There is some notoriety
In masked souls all as one
A sort of proclamation
That their day is done

Affirming that the government
Are part and parcel there
So far from being honest
They also bloody scare
The day lights out of people
Thus the need to be
Marching at least once a year
Masked up it seems to me

All in real good spirits
Part of something they
Knew to be important
On this their special day
A case for histrionics
Swagger and caricature
Appearing to be extremists
But all part of the cure

Anonymous apparently
Is rising by the day
For Anyone making masks of course
Really it might pay
The ladies brought their elegance
Their fluency to bear
The drama played out nicely
All their fun Of the fair

Eagerness to show the world
Devotion to the cause
Favourable and willing
To march and rarely pause
Resolute and determined
To get the message out
That there are a lot of reasons
Why there is much more doubt

False flags lies and more lies
Allegations too
Conspiracies are everywhere
And we all know that is true
Deliverance retrieval
Redemption and some more
And all of it good natured
According to the law
