ELK

A magnificent Elk
Minding his own business
Was shot by some balf wit
Who imagined that He
Had been put on gods earth
To assassinate animals
He loaded the carcass
Onto his, ATV

Driving up a steep slope
The whole thing tipped over
And he was thrown out
And on the antlers impaled
Up jumped Mr Karma
Who was no self harmer
And sought to remind him
Now how he had failed

To live up to his haughtiness
And His arrogant stature
How he was bleeding out
And in such pain
What he inflicts on many
Sweet animals
Was now his fortune
Was now his gain

Tragically some of his mates
Rang emergency
And he was saved from a fate
Worse than death
That manificent Elk
Had got his own back
And this ruddy insult
Was fighting for breath

Too many animals
Get the attention
Of too many hunters
Whose aim is real poor
And animals die after hours
Of such torture
And these ruddy red necks
All that they ignore

So its happy I am
That this fool took a beating
He will live to tell
The tale though I feel
It might just make him think
When killing at his age
If there is a next time
He will get the right deal

No friends around
And die in the forest
Preferably eaten
By a nice fat old bear
So at least he was useful
Was somebodys supper
Despite a scarred back
And a bit too much hair
