So Theresa May
Wants to play
The shale oil card
And right away
With safeguards in place
We will join the race
And I understand
That our precious land
In the Weald of Kent
Which was heaven sent
Not for glorious climes
But the oil below
1.1 billion barrels
Shale oil to flow

It needs expertise
And so they seize
On the BGs report
It’s All systems go
For it’s going to flow
And if it wasn’t what you thought
Too bad
It’s coming anyway
That is what the Tories say

As for the people
Living there
They can suffer some despair
For the good of all
The corporate ones
Like their father so their sons
Can take up the challenge
Can so ensure
That the oil is got
From the shale bed core

Contractors protected
Protectors rejected
The British Economy
No one’s inspected
And Theresa May
Wasn’t even elected
She’s here on a whim
And perhaps on a prayer
We need an election
or it isn’t fair

She’s always sniping
And she now needs wiping
Off this green land
Letting Jeremy rule
He has banned fracking
That she now is backing
