Excuses for abuses
The obtuse regrettably
Comes to play now in a way
The hunter vehemently
Defies the natural order
And decries its need to be
Beyond the light of being
To a vile dependency
And killing he calls culling
The inevitable desire
To weed out certain animals
Who fall into his fire
Of enlightenment through arrogance
Creating a path where he
Can exclude more of the same from those
Whose blame he thinks should be
The experience of slaughter
Is a lesson for us all
By slaughtering a lot of souls
He creates his rule
One Of an expert and thus worthy
Of slaughtering yet more
We have to learn to live together
That much I am sure
The perception we have reasons
To encroach and so to kill
Wild souls out there avidly
Who live a while to thrill
Each other with their compass
Is to me the wrong idea
To slaughter them because they are there
Is to recreate such fear
That doesn’t need to be there
Yet that’s exactly why
He calls for this the animals bliss
Is to know that they should die
For when they walk a similar path
To the human Being who
Always has the right to be
Then the animal must accrue
The fear and fright and pain
They must understand that they
Only can live on this planet
If we agree that they can stay
The ultimate is arrogance
A hopeless situation
Giving rise to a comfortless
Total transmigration
The sentient must realise
The error of his ways
And not allow the belligerence
To form it’s sickly phase
Animals have a role in all our lives
We have to see
to peer into the fog of life
And always let them be
The vulgarity of slaughter
To the miracle of life
the ultimate creation
The impurity where strife
Devises the souls their evidence
And conjures up a way
For excuses and abuses
That can never save the day
