Kill the bull because we love him

We killed him because we loved him
It’s the kind of love that I
Can never ever understand
We watched that Elephant die
4 hours it took of misery
Of agony of pain
Their psychopathic ugly minds
No different than a drain

Sharing out the bush meat
Amongst the locals who
Will all have meat inside their guts
That is why they do
What they do the liars
Sobbing there on screen
They are a bunch of larcenists
Their motives were obscene

An old bull soon to lose his teeth
And starve don’t give me this
Respect is what we should offer
They really take the piss
And it’s allowed and above board
To take out souls for fun
Not one shot or two shots
But loads of shots
From the fool behind the gun

It’s a sickness plain and simple
Guilty in my eyes
He wants his children to see them in the wild
That special prize
And bears down on a massive Bull
This is his idea
He killed him because he loved him
The whipping boy it’s clear

His reward the status
The great white hunter who
Can down a massive elephant
That’s what hunters do
They are soulless to begin with
Their heart lost long ago
For them it’s just a muscle
They are nothing but ego

A vile excuse for humans
This unlawfulness I see
A humbling confession
Which does not play with me
The contumacy is obvious
Such a graceless attitude
Pretending to be upset
A practice though so crude

Explaining how they did it
Building up their case
Not a hint of guilt there
Or blame it’s about space
And the remaining Elephants
Unpardonable for me
Opportunism they played their cards
Based on improbity

They all are good-for-nothing
Degenerates in fact
Their principle is evil
And how we all react
To what is their iniquity
Is raise them to the fore
Make TV shows about them
Hunters in the raw

They are punishers
They always try
To vindicate for they
Have so many excuses
Why their victims had to pay
The ultimate price
The loss of life
So they could have their fun
And so traduced the animals right
For life under the sun

It’s totally reprehensible
4 hours they took to kill
A majestic beast who at the very least
Had the power to will
It had sired a lot of children
And would now be sorely missed
By the matriarch and others
But the hunters can’t resist

Their chance to down an Elephant
For the ivory and more
For the kudos amongst the rest of them
And all that blood and gore
Do you think the other elephants
Will not pine and be aggrieved
By the murder of their greatest friend
For it will not have achieved

Anything in their eyes
Just Another angry man
With guns who come to claim a soul
I will never be a fan
Of the roguish vile destroyers
Unworthy to be called
Anything but evil
Their arses should be hauled

Into court and into jail
For life that is my plea
Dressed up in their camouflage
And letting us all see
The tears how they belittle
The tears the elephants lose
The disdainful way of hunting
It really is a ruse

Despicable behaviour
Holier than thou
Such an undervaluation
Of the majesty of now
Instead of veneration
It’s a scornful way to be
Cavalier and aweless
A rotter all can see

For them it’s an obligation
And entitlement let’s say
They have the guns and weaponry
And the stature so today
They stalk and kill a master
It’s their birthright to be seen
Ascribable to hunting
Entitled to have been

It’s as if they were angels
Donors to the cause
Redeemers even rescuers
And they couldn’t pause
To think it through
They knew the path
And took it to be sure
They killed him because they loved him
That was their reason for

Drawing up the malevolence
And firing off the steel
Hitting this bold elder
Making this soul feel
The agony of dying
Was chivalrous and right
Giving up his chance of breath
And living in the light

So with his massive body
He could feed the local hordes
Who would come and carve his flesh and bones
Using their rusty swords
He could be the delicacy
That all of them would need
Although he loved the life
And the herd
He had to be seen to bleed

The wonders of creation
Were lost today we saw
Fear and consternation
And how some do ignore
Hunters sick and tasteless
Boorish imbeciles
Odious and loathsome
They clog up all my dials

The wails of woe I am picking up on
From the remaining herd
Tear shedding you can know it
And any spoken word
Cannot describe the lamentable
Sorrow that they feel
For them no understanding
For them just wholly real

Again I go back fondly
To the Bull who had to die
The hunger so called is to me
A punter and each lie
He told was really awful
His excuses clearly sick
I couldn’t feel the tenderness
Just incredibly thick

How they can have the where for all
To be licensed and to kill
AFRICA Your iconic beasts
CAn’t you hear that shrill
Cry of Mother Nature
As she collects each soul
And the senselessness of all of this
The need for to control

The numbers we as human beings
Sadly will never know
What was in the minds eye
Of the great Mother whose show
Of force was from the heavens
She created all we see
And the mindlessness of man unkind
Destroys it constantly
